Play On! 7 p.m. April 15 and April 16; 3 p.m. April 17 at Joliet Central High School, 201 E. Jefferson St. Joliet Central’s Drama department presents the hilarious comedy “Play On!” Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the doors of the Central Auditorium prior to the performance.

From Famine to Prosperity. 1 p.m. at the Joliet Area Historical Museum, 204 N. Ottawa St. Mary Beth Gannon, member of the Irish American Society of Will County, will deliver a presentation on the Irish in Joliet and Will County, entitled “From Famine to Prosperity.” She will be offering tips on searching your genealogy, as well as stories about local Irish History.

Earth Day Celebration. Noon to 3 p.m. at Pilcher Park Nature Center, 2501 Highland Park Drive, Joliet. Come join for hikes and other programs providing information on what you can do to help the earth. Free; activities and stations include information talks, wildflower walks, crafts and more. Second Annual Friends of the Library Art Sale. 6 to 8 p.m. at Shorewood-Troy library, 650 Deerwood Drive, Shorewood. Join for an evening of fun, food and fundraising for the library by purchasing art donated by the community.
