A carnival is coming to the Louis Joliet Mall for five days from May 11-15.
North American Midway Entertainment and Astro Amusement will set up shop at the Joliet mall for the event, which will offer attendees food, carnival rides and games. The event’s hours of operation will vary from day to day.
On May 11 and May 12, the carnival will be open to the public from 5:30-10 p.m. The next day, the carnival will be held between 5:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. The carnival will be open from 1-11:30 p.m. May 14 and 1-10 p.m. May 15.
Carnival staff said they are not aware of any incidences occurring when reviewing past events held over the years. Arrangements have been made with the Joliet Police Department to coordinate security efforts, city staff said.
