An employee was killed and a patron injured at Izzy’s Tap, 507 Theodore St, Joliet, around 1:15 a.m, Friday morning. The bartender was Danny Rios, 52, of Joliet. Rios suffered a single gunshot wound, according to the Will County Coroner’s Office. The second shooting victim shot was reportedly the son of the owner and was shot while subduing the shooter with other patrons.
A spokesperson for the Will County States Attorney’s Office said Patrick K. Gleason, 55, of Crest Hill. is facing charges of five counts of 1st degree murder, three counts of attempted murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated battery with a firearm.
Candles and flowers now created a makeshift memorial outside the bar Friday evening.
