Last weekend, Quigley again returned to Seattle — only this time, she was the storm

In front of more than 15,000 fans at Seattle’s KeyArena and several family members from Joliet, Quigley won the WNBA Three-Point Contest and played in her first-ever WNBA All-Star game.

She beat out Sue Bird, Maya Moore and Jasmine Thomas in the opening round, then defeated Sugar Rodgers in the final to take home the trophy.

“I was just like I can’t believe this. I wanted to obviously [win] but you just don’t know who’s going to be hot that day and who’s going to shoot well,” Quigley said. “To be able to do it was just such a great experience.”

In the Three-Point Contest on Saturday, Quigley went first, posting a 20-point round.

In the second round, she converted 19 of 25 attempts to finish with 27 points.

Her hot hand did not stop there.

In her 19 minutes in the All-Star game, Quigley hit 4-of-9 shots from three-point range to finish with 14 points off the bench.

The 31-year-old graduate of Joliet Catholic Academy, Quigley is in her first season as a starter in the WNBA after coming off the bench to earn a pair of Sith Woman of the Year awards in 2014 and 2015.

She is showing she can flourish in the starting lineup as well as she leads the Sky in scoring with 16.6 points per game.
