The annual Shorewood Crossroads Festival, which runs Aug. 2-4 at Cene’s Four Seasons Park, will feature fireworks, live music, a car show, parade, a variety of eating
contests, baby contest, multiple food and craft vendors and much more.
General admission to the Entertainment/Eat Street area is $5 beginning at 6 p.m.
Friday and Saturday. There will be no fee for “Sunday Funday” Admission for children 12 and under accompanied by an adult is free all weekend. There is no admission fee to
the carnival area and as always, parking is free.
There are two parking lots available. One located off Wynstone near Walnut Trails School (best access to the carnival) and south of the park off Seil Road near the fire
department.
The festival is brought to the community by the Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce. The presenting sponsor for the entire weekend is D’Arcy Buick-GMC and
D’Arcy Hyundai.
The fest begins with an exclusive party from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 2 designed specifically for families that include children with special needs. The fest opens to the public at
5 p.m.
The carnival, food vendors, beer garden and entertainment can be found over the three day weekend.
Kids will be delighted that the fest will feature an unlimited carnival ride $25 wristband 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. New this year is an
additional $30 wristband 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday.
The live entertainment on the main stage will include a number of bands such as Heart to Heartbreaker, Brushville, The Millennials, Boy Band Review, Hi Infidelity and Billy
Elton.
Sunday highlights include Touch A Truck, free face painting, Flash Magic Show, Classic and Custom Car Show and the parade at noon. This year’s theme is “Summer
Fun” Parade Grand Marshals are the founders of Shorewood H.U.G.S., Laura Charland, Susan Coyle, Rita Guenther, Heidi Serena and Lorayne Wright.
