Connor Blake, Plainfield South
Blake initiated the power surge for the Cougars while blasting five home runs and 30 RBI’s.
Jack Blazevich, Downers Grove South
Junior middle infielder hit .436 with 4 home runs, 23 RBI and a 1.250 OPS for the Mustangs.
Greg Budig
Budig was stout for the Tigers all season long. He posted a .292 batting average, had 26 hits, one home run and nine RBI’s.
AJ Casmer, Lisle
Senior posted a 0.97 ERA with 73 strikeouts in 57.2 innings on the mound. At the pate, he hit .333 and stole 28 bases.
He will continue his baseball career at Lewis University.
Garret Cook, Plainfield North
Cook headlined the Tigers, batting over .400 for much of the season before settling in with a .394 average at the end of the season. Cook was an offensive force with 27 runs scored and nine extra base hits.
Jack Crowder, Plainfield East
Crowder led the way offensively and defensively for the Bengals in 2019. Crowder smacked eight doubles and three homers, driving in 27 runs. On the mound, he had 69 strikeouts.
Jared Cushing, JCA
Senior shortstop had 45 hits on the season for a .385 average. He tied for the team lead with 10 doubles, while driving in a team-high 34 and scoring 35 runs.
Jack Donahue, Plainfield Central
Batted .354 on the season with an OPS of .946. He drove in 26 runs and scored 37.
Tony Fleischauer, JCA
Senior hit .333 with an OPS of .865 on the season. He posted 25 RBI and scored 19 runs.
Mike Gurka, JCA
At the plate, the senior batted .365 with a .980 OPS. On the mound, he was 4-0 in nine appearances. He posted a 2.41 ERA and 1.45 WHIP.
Cam Kissel, Plainfield North
Kissel was a constant threat offensively for the Tigers batting .358, six doubles, one home run and 14 RBI’S.
Christian Knapczyk, JCA
Junior hit .440 on the season, with a 1.099 OPS. He led the Hilltoppers with 55 hits, driving in 24 runners and scoring a team-best 37 runs.
Griffin Lapp, Plainfield South
Lapp shared the fame with the plethora of successful pitchers for the Cougars in 2019. Lapp finished his campaign with seven victories and a 1.49 ERA. On the offensive side of the ball, Lapp scored 31 runs and had 20 RBI’s.
Jay McGrath, Lisle
Senior three-sport standout, McGrath hit .439 with 10 doubles and 25 RBI. On the mound, he tossed 32 innings for the Lions, carrying a 2.63 ERA to 4 wins.
Justin McGuigan, Plainfield South
McGuigan led the Cougars to its 28 wins while hitting.333 with 29 runs and 22 RBI’s. On the mound, he notched seven victories to go along with a 1.76 ERA with 59 strikeouts.
Brandon Micetich, Plainfield Central
Batted .395 on the season with an OPS of 1.095 scored 24 runs and drove in 30.
Riley Morris. Plainfield East
Morris was a threat offensively; he scored 25 runs and had 25 RBI’s. He also hit for average as he posted a .355 batting average.
Anthony Noble, Plainfield Central
Paced the team with 46 innings pitched, posting a 5-2 record in eight starts. He posted a 2.28 ERA and 1.46 WHIP, posting 33 strikeouts on the year. At the plate, he hit .354 on the year with 18 runs scored.
Timmy O’Brien, Maine South
Sophomore shortstop posted a .396 batting average on the season with 44 hits, 19 RBI and 31 runs scored. He only struck out 10 times in 131 plate appearances.
Was named to the All-Conference team in the Central Suburban League.
Tylor Phommachanhom, Plainfield South
With the nickname “Puma”, Phommachanhom delivered a .353 batting average while being just as dominant of defense with a 5-0 record while posting a 2.37 ERA.
Nick Pratscher, Plainfield East
Pratscher was a run producer for the Bengals as he put together a stat line of 11 doubles and four home runs.
Brandon Ruehle, Plainfield East
Ruehle was an ace pitcher for the Bengals, who maintained a 1.69 ERA.
Dylan Szajkovics, Plainfield North
Szajkovics led the Tigers in innings pitched with 47, posting a 5-1 overall record.
In 47 innings pitched, Szajkovics allowed just 18 earned runs while posting a 2.68 ERA.
Alex Vera, JCA
Senior pitcher paced the team with 60.1 innings on the mound. In 13 games, he was 6-2 on the mound with a 2.90 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. He struck out a team-high 72 batters and walked 22.
Dan Wustenfield, JCA
Batted .318 on the season with 29 runs scored and 21 runs scored to go along with five doubles.
Greg Ziegler, JCA
Hit .322 on the season with 25 RBI and 32 runs scored. Had a team-best four saves in five opportunities on the season, posting an ERA of 2.52 and 1.68 WHIP.
