TRIAD senior expo set for May 22 in Romeoville

The Will County TRIAD will host its annual TRIAD Senior Health, Safety, & Lifestyle Expo later this month at the Edward Hospital Athletic and Event Center.

With more than 75 organizations and vendors on hand to describe their services and hand out freebies, this free annual event is tailored specifically to the needs of senior citizens.

New this year are 30 minute informational sessions presented by AARP, AARP Smart Driving, Edward-Elmhurst Healthcare, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Walgreens and the White Oak Library District. Additionally, Citgo, a police dog of the Lockport Police Department’s crime prevention unit, will give a demonstration on how he sniffs out drugs.

The TRIAD Senior Health, Safety, & Lifestyle Expo is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to noon May 25 at the Edward Hospital Athletic and Event Center, 55 Phelps Ave., Romeoville.

Event partners include Lockport Township Park District, White Oak Library District, AARP, the Romeoville and Lockport police departments, and Walgreens.
