Wildcat girls roll Past Plainfield South

On Ft. Beggs Drive in Plainfield, the host Wildcats of Plainfield Central took on their rivals from Plainfield South on Friday night.

In an important Southwest Prairie Conference girls showdown the Wildcats defeated the Cougars 57-45.

The Wildcats were again led by their leading scorer on the season junior Kachae Donald. The 5-foot-7 guard dropped 24 big points on the rival Cougars to improve Painfield Central to 9-4 overall and 4-1 in the SPC.

Wildcat 6-foot-1 sophomore Annaliese Griffin had a double-double on the night, scoring 18 points and hauling down 10 boards, while 6-foot-2 sophomore Stacey Evans owned the glass for a game-high 12 rebounds.

Griffin was on the Plainfield Police Department watch lIst for her eight steals on the night.

Plainfield South fell to 6-6 overall and 2-3 in the SPC.

Plainfield Central will have a Wednesday, Dec, 26 date, with the Foxes of Yorkville (5-9), at the Oswego East Holiday Classic at 11:30 a.m.

Plainfield South will battle Serena at the Peotone Blue Devils Holiday Tournament at noon, Dec. 26.
