Plainfield Police investigation lead to more street racing arrests; still more wanted

The Plainfield Police, in conjunction with the Will County States Attorney’s Office, began an extensive investigation in mid-August after possible criminal activity related to the dangerous operation of motor vehicles was discovered on

Fredenhagen

social media.

In addition to the arrest of Paul R. Powell, 35, of the 24000 block of Prairie Grove Drive, Plainfield, IL and Timothy J. Hagan, 47, of the 7600 block of Linden Avenue, Darien, IL, arrest warrants were issued for five

more individuals.

On December 151, Joseph N. Lukas, 36, of the 900 block of Clover Drive, Romeoville, IL turned himself in without incident to the Plainfield Police. Lukas was charged with 2 counts of Street Racing. Bond was set at $2,500.00 for Lukas. Lukas posted bond and was released from custody.

On December 3rd, Steven J. Fredenhagen, 41, of the 25000 block of Karen Drive, Plainfield, IL turned himself in

Lukas

without incident to the Plainfield Police. Fredenhagen was charged with 4 counts of Street Racing. Bond was set at $2,500.00 for Fredenhagen.

Fredenhagen posted bond and was released from custody.

Arrest warrants have been issued for 3 more individuals, who have yet to be taken into custody.
