As a holiday tradition, the Joliet American Legion Band will be presenting the
36th annual Sounds of Christmas concert at Joliet’s historic Rialto Theatre on
Sunday December 9th , 2018 at 2 p.m.
Members of the Joliet American Legion Band are gifted musicians within a wide range
of age and musical experience. For nearly forty-four weeks per year, these devoted
musicians attend weekly rehearsal under the direction of Kevin Macha, in addition to
individual and sectional preparation of musical selections.
Having proudly represented the City of Joliet, State of Illinois at the national
convention in Minneapolis, MN, placing 1 st in marching and 2nd in concert competition,
this upcoming concert will conclude yet another successful year of performances.
Tickets to attend the Sounds of Christmas concert will be available in the foyer of
the Rialto Theatre 102 N Chicago Street Joliet, IL on Thursday Nov 29th , Monday
Dec 3 rd and Friday Dec 7th during the hours of 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Admission cost
of the tickets is being requested in the form of non-perishable food or paper
products which will be benefiting individuals and families within our local community.
Tickets will also be available the day of the concert with doors opening at 1 p.m.
Come out early to enjoy the wonderful sights and sounds of Christmas throughout the
beautiful Rialto Theatre.
