Webmaster, Communications Director honored

District 202 Webmaster Ryan Boyce and Director of Community Relations Tom Hernandez were recognized on September 14, 2018 as part of the Illinois Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association Annual Communications Contest.

More than 179 entries in 11 categories were judged by out‐of‐state public relations professionals. Each entry was evaluated by three judges against a rubric of excellence, with awards given to those that scored within the established ranges for merit and excellence.

Boyce and Hernandez earned an Award of Merit for the annual Academic Overview publication. The Academic Overview is a graphic snapshot of the district’s AP scholars, ACT/SAT scores in both English and Spanish.

Boyce also received an Award of Merit for the redesign of the District 202 website www.psd202.org.

“We are proud to recognize the winners of the 2018 Communications Contest, whose outstanding work exemplifies the best in school communications throughout the state,” said INSPRA President Becky Koltz, the Coordinator of Communications & Community Relations at Community High School District 94.

District 202 Webmaster Ryan Boyce received an Award of Merit in the Illinois Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association Annual Communications Contest for his redesign of the District 202 website. Boyce and Community Relations Coordinator Tom Hernandez also won a joint Award of Merit for a specialty publication they produced together.
