The summer gods ingratiated the RomeoFest weekend with beautiful weather where thousands of locals and visitors got to kick back and enjoy the food and entertainment.

This family filled fest that lasted August 2 through August 5 at Deer Crossing Park and Village Park showed off a variety of games, carnival rides and endless food and drinking vendors.

On Friday and Sunday night, the local shuttle bus service picked up participants in the fest, which ran from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. Friday and 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

Other noticeable events that happened throughout the weekend were the one-mile food fest race, men’s softball tournament, adult beanbag tournament, talent show contest and a car show.

Multiple different bands also captured the crowd’s attention with DJ Party, Sixteen Candles, GooRoos, Infinity, Recycle The Day, The Hat Guys, Too White Crew, Romeoville High School Alumni Show, 7th Heaven and the Hillbilly Rockstarz.

RomeoFest had a total of 29 sponsors for the weekend event, helping bring more publicity and recognition to the biggest event in Romeoville of the year.
