The 2018 Joliet Catholic Academy Football Kickoff Tailgate Fundraiser will take place Saturday, August 11 from 6 to 9 p.m. The tailgate will be located in the Heritage Quad on campus at JCA. Tickets for the Tailgate will cost $25 and include food, pop and water, and 2 drink tickets for the cash bar (beer and wine).
Tickets may be purchased at the door the night of the event. The event is open to the families of current players, alumni, and all other friends of the Joliet Catholic football program. Raffle tickets are also being sold leading up to the event and include a collection of prizes highlighted by a Notre Dame football gameday experience (including tickets and pregame field passes), other sports tickets, a Lotto Tree, a television, and a $250 cash prize. Raffle tickets are available through JCA football players and also at the schools main office located at 1200 N. Larkin Ave., Joliet, IL 60435. Ticket buyers do not need to be in attendance to win and any purchased ticket will provide a chance at all items.
All funds raised at the tailgate will go directly to the Hilltopper football program and help provide the players with their JCA Football apparel, player equipment, practice implements, and the many other costs associated with the running of the football program. Joliet Catholic Academy football holds the IHSA record for state championships with 13. The Hilltoppers are coming off a 3-6 season, but have lofty expectations for a return to the Class 5A State Playoffs with 14 returning starters, several of which be entering their third year on varsity. The season opener kicks off on Friday, August 24 vs. Chicago Catholic League power St. Rita at Joliet Memorial Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
